A native of Los Angeles (we DO exist!), I grew up in the sunny South Bay where the seeds of my love for the ocean were planted at a young age.

Every Sunday after church as kids, we set our umbrella and beach chairs up at the volleyball courts at Marine Street in Manhattan Beach where my dad played volleyball all day and we begged him incessantly to take us to the water between games. My love for the beach and for volleyball stayed with me. A scholarship athlete on the Division 1 Women’s Volleyball team, I graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Business and 2 bum shoulders.

What I’d come to find out nearly a decade later, was that as deeply rooted as my identity as an athlete was, so was my identity as an artist.

My mom, a painter, nourished my creativity all along — me not knowing that one day, it’d rise and bloom in the shape of words strung together in my journal and fleeting images captured from behind a lens.

I’ve always been a believer in the power of storytelling. I started my career in the movie business, in awe of the magic that unfolded from script to screen. I’m a deep lover of the stories told in books, music and art.

My story - the one unfolding on this page - is an ever-evolving one. It’s the story of a thirty-something young woman who does NOT have it all figured out just yet (but do we ever?) It’s the story of resilience and discovery. It’s submerged in a deep love for all people - especially the ones who sometimes feel a bit lost.

So who am I? I hope to show you here in my writing and in the images I capture, but for now, just know that though I’m quiet, I have a lot to say. I will always advocate for the quiet, the sensitive, the seekers, the truth tellers. And I hope that if you’re one or all of those, you stick around. :)
